SPELLINGS

Speed spell! Pick a word from the year 3 and 4 spelling mat. Set yourself one minute to write it as many times correctly and as neatly as you can.

ENGLISH

We have been looking at suspense this half term and the different techniques we can use to create this in our writing.

You have all loved writing your own stories so use today and have a go at some more suspense writing using our suspense toolkit to help you.

Use the photos below as inspiration. You could write write a paragraph describing the photo, the start of a story or even a whole story!

MATHS

We have focusing on our times tables this week. Log into time tables rock stars to test your knowledge.

I know we like a challenge in Oak class so below are two challenges both using your multiplication skills. Have a go and let me know how you get on.

Challenge 1:

In the 2×2 multiplication square below, the boxes at the end of each row and the foot of each column give the result of multiplying the two numbers in that row or column.

The 3×3 multiplication square below works in the same way. The boxes at the end of each row and the foot of each column give the result of multiplying the three numbers in that row or column.

The numbers 1−9 may be used once and once only.

Can you work out the arrangement of the digits in the square so that the given products are correct?

Challenge 2:

GROW AND GIVE

On Wednesday some of WGS went to support Tom Daley on his Red Nose Challenge for Comic Relief.

Can we help Tom raise even more money for Comic Relief? How could you, Oak class or the school raise money? You could research more about Red Nose Day and design a poster or leaflet that explains your ideas.
