Talk 4 Writing

Some strange fruit arrived in our classroom and every time we tried to pick it up, it spoke!!  
 

We discussed what the fruit might be and eventually learnt that is was papaya. We predicted what it might taste like and then enjoyed trying it.

We then listened to the story, ‘The Papaya that Spoke’ and discussed what we liked and disliked about the story. 

We learned the story of the ‘Papaya that Spoke’ and became experts. We then wrote our own stories inspired by this one - they featured lots of talking fruit and animals!
