Welcome to the PTA section of the school website. Here, you will find information about Wimborne St Giles’ thriving PTA (Parent Teacher Association) of which all parents are automatically members.

 

 

The PTA Strategy

The PTA aims to raise funds to enrich the school community and the experience of children through their school journey. Each year we have a strategy that sets out our fund objectives with short, medium and long term goals.

 

There is an AGM each autumn term and a committee meets about once every half term, working very hard to plan and organise various events which add much to the school life. These meetings are open to everyone to attend as and when they wish.

 

Each class has a PTA Class Rep who supports the PTA by circulating news about events, requests for volunteers, plus a few other things.

 

The PTA also posts key announcements to the School’s Facebook feed and the PTA Facebook site

 

The PTA runs a number of events throughout the year. Children’s discos, Village Teas, Easter challenges and the Summer Fair are some of the many highlights of the year. In addition to these events we also raise funds through a number of cash back schemes, receiving commission on your online shopping.

 

Over the past few years, the PTA have funded many projects including:

• School Playground

• School iPads

• Library Books

• Osmington Leavers Trip Donation

• Nursery Graduation gowns
