At our school we adopt a child-centred approach, so that the provision and adaptations made for different children will vary according to their needs.  We strongly believe in identifying needs early so that we can put in place the support each of our children requires in order to flourish and we closely involve parents in this every step of the way.

The school runs various intervention programmes that provide children with strategies to progress forward such as ELSA [Emotional Literacy Support], Learn to move, move to Learn, StormBreak, Sand Tray Therapy, Drawing and Talking, Sensory Circuits, Reading Partners and Maths Boost.  We work closely with a range of specialist teachers who provide advice, support and guidance for our staff, parents and children. These include: Speech Therapists, Educational Psychologists, Early Family Help, Mental Health Service [CAMHS], Portage and Behaviour Support Service.

Our physical environment has been adapted to facilitate the use of wheelchairs; including installing access ramps, disabled parking, the widening of doors to washroom facilities; and special washroom facilities.
