We are so lucky to be having Samba music lessons this term. We have learnt the names of all the instruments and how you have to play each one slightly differently. We also got scientific discussing how vibrations are needed to make the noise we hear.

So far we have learnt about pulse and impressed our teacher with how we could keep to a given pulse.

Oak class composed their own Samba piece of music. After deciding on the theme of Ancient Egyptians we came up with 5 phrases to help with rhythm.

We are now learning a traditional Samba piece called the Groove. 

We were getting technical! We have added in a syncopation and crescendo to our Samba piece.
