'Together We Grow: Together We Give'

Science

Mrs Corbett had put her seed in the cupboard and we make predictions about what would happen to it. Today, we checked if our predictions were correct.

We transferred our seeds to pots so that they could continue to grow.

We set up our own hydroponics farm to explore how seeds can grow with just sunlight and water.

We explored how seeds ate dispersed. Then, we made paper helicopters and took them outside to explore how the wind affects their movement.

During our forest school session, we discussed the differences between deciduous and evergreen trees. We looked at different ways to identify trees and talked about the shapes of leaves, size of trunks and wondered whether if the bark was different.  We then made bark rubbings and predicted the type of tree. We’ll check if we were correct when leaves appear on the trees.
