Science

After finding out which materials are electrical conductors and which are insulators, we had a go at designing and making our own switches that could open and close a simple circuit.

In Science we continued looking at electricity. We discussed what electrical conductors and insulators were. Then we used a complete circuit to test different materials, looking to see if they were conductors. We noticed that if the material did conduct electricity the bulb lit up and if the material was an insulator the bulb did not light up.

In Science, we have started to look at electricity. We explored the components of a circuit and discovered how to make the bulb light up. Some of us even managed to incorporate a switch.

In Science, we continued our learning about light. We started off by looking at some optical illusions. We all saw different things!
Then, we had a look at making shadows. We investigated what happened to a shadow when an object got closer to the light.
