Talk 4 Writing
We are focusing on a portal story, called Elf Road, in English. We have created a text map to help us learn the story.
We have been looking at the poem The Slithermonchowcuck. We focused on the descriptive language and how the writer uses similes. We watched the author perform the poem and then had a go ourselves, thinking carefully about how we say certain words, the emphasis we put on phrases and any pauses we might use to create effect.
We are now published authors. Our poems written using the senses were published in a book for all the world to see.
