Carnival Time!
Rio came to Wimborne St Giles!
We began the day trying to locate Brazil on world maps and learning some key facts. We then made and sampled some delicious Brazilian sweets, Brigadiros.
We took part in a dance workshop and really got into the carnival spirit learning a samba dance routine. Top tip - bend knees, strong arms, wiggly hips and big smiles!!
In the afternoon, we learnt some Portuguese and then made our own fantastic carnival masks and headdresses!
We fully embraced the carnival spirit and a super day was had by all!
