Ice experiment

We came up with our own experiment about how to successful free Shackleton's boat from the ice. The children chose to melt the ice in cold water, hot water and hot chocolate! 

 

They made predictions about what they thought would happen. They then observed closely, recording their findings and finally they wrote their conclusion.

 

The children were surprised that hot water melted the ice faster than hot chocolate!
