'Together We Grow: Together We Give'

Music

At the end of our 10 week Samba programme, led by the brilliant Dorset Music Service, Oak Class Samba band performed to the rest of the school and our grown ups. We showed off all that we have learnt.

In Samba, we looked at musical notes and a way to remember them.

Today in Samba, Oak Class composed their own piece of music. First, we selected a topic. Next, we thought of some words within the topic. Then, we created some sentences using those words. Finally, we had to pick which sentence should go with which instrument.

Today in Samba we learnt how sounds are made through vibrations.

Today we started our 10 week musicianship programme with Dorset Music Service. We will be learning how to play Samba. This morning we got to know the instruments we will be using and had a little play.
