Poetry

We have become poets!

 

We are taking part in the Primary League Stars competition and have written our own poems called 'Try, Try Again' This aligns with our value of Perseverance and we came up with some fantastic examples of how we have had to persevere and keep on trying. We are in the process of recording these poems on our radio station!

 

We have also written poems linking to our topic. We have learnt about Hadrian's wall and why it was built. We discussed how the soldiers on duty on the wall may have felt, far from home in cold weather! Our super poems are written as if we were the soldier and we have used great language to describe both the weather and the soldiers feelings.
