Please use the links with videos and reading material to help you learn about the parts of a flower.

Plant Detective Reading about parts of a plant

YOUR SCIENCE TASK   -Label and explain the different parts of a plant.

WALT:  Understand the different parts of a plant    (Please write title and date)

Here are some ideas for you ( you only need to choose 1 way so choose what works for you and your family):

  • You can draw your own plant and label and explain each part (like a poster),
  • Create a PowerPoint about the different parts of the plant (with photos or diagrams),
  • Get outdoors and analyse some plants, then take a photo of a plant (or parts of the plants)  you found and annotate them correctly.

You need to label the following:

-stem

-leaves

-flower

-roots

- Extra - bud/seed

Then explain the functions of the different parts ( their role).

(Remember to write in full sentences with correct punctuation and capital letters)

Greater Depth Challenge

Have a go at answering this question:

Do plants really need leaves to survive?

I would love to know your response (try to explain fully)!laugh
