• If you are able to this week, get outdoors and take a closer look at some flowers. Can you gently pull away a couple of petals and look closer?
• With permission from your parent/carer see if there is a flower or 2 you could have a go at dissecting and finding the different parts.  Count how many of each part there are. How do plants differ?
• Take a photo or video of any flowers you find.
• As an extra challenge try to add a verbal explanation by pointing out any of the different parts and explain their scientific name and their role.

• Please complete at least the BASIC task by drawing and labeling a flower.  (If you have labelled the dissected flower and taken a photo that is fine instead of drawing it out). Then choose at least 2 parts of the flower to explain in full sentences. 

• The ADVANCING level is a task most year 4s should be able to do try as well.
• The DEEP task is a greater depth challenge.
