Hello! Today we are learning to (WALT):

Prepare poems to read aloud with expression.

Since the start of the year, we have really enjoyed exploring 'The Lost Spells'-  the follow up to 'The Lost Words' by Robert MacFarlane and Jackie Morris. 

Robert MacFarlane has set a challenge for children to perform 'Jackdaw' from the Lost Spells and we have a special certificate to present in Celebration Worship to anyone who has a go at the challenge!

You can view the poem below. Don't forget to perform your poem with 'expression' - you may need to look up any words you don't know to help you to do this! 

Think about where you perform your poem -would an outside setting add something to your performance?
