Boris has got a new tablet. He is excited about what he will be able to do on it, but he isn’t sure how to use it!

Do you have a tablet, phone or computer that you use at home?

What do you like to do on your tablets/devices?

Can you think of some advice for Boris to help keep him safe when he is using his tablet?

Staying safe when you are using a tablet, phone or computer is similar to staying safe in the real world.

Chat to your grown up about some of the ways that you can stay safe.

Think about these simple rules:

• Ask a parent/carer before you play or watch anything

• Stay near your parent/carer as you play

• Don’t talk to strangers

• Tell your parent/carer if you see anything strange

• Turn your device off when you are told to

Can you draw a picture to show Boris one of the rules for keeping safe online? Alternatively, make a poster to show him some of the rules that he should follow.
