Sparkling Starter
Wow! We had a fantastic introduction to our Farm to Fork Topic. Working in groups, we began the day by looking at different foods and discussing where they were grown. We searched for their countries of origin on World maps and discussed which continent they were in. We went on to sample the foods and created a tally chart to show which was our favourite.
In the afternoon, we made bird feeders which we hung in trees around the playground. We also planted vegetable seeds for our whole school allotment and made sun catchers which look fantastic on the window on our classroom.
The day was filled with hands on learning and plenty of smiles (apart from when we tasted the lemons!).
