  • Carols in our Community

    Tue 15 Dec 2015 Miss H

On Monday we all gathered in the church for our Carol Service. The children shared the story of 'The First Christmas' and sang the carols beautifully. It was a really special service and lovely to see so many of you there.

Many thanks to Canon Simon Tong for presiding over the service and to John Radford for accompanying us on the organ.

The money from the retiring collection will go to Julia's House: a hospice for children with life limiting illnesses in Dorset and South Wiltshire.

  • Governors' Christmas Lunch

    Mon 14 Dec 2015 Miss H

Today the Governors very kindly provided all the children and staff with a fabulous Christmas lunch in the village hall. The smiles on the children's faces said it all and we are very grateful for all the efforts of the governors; Dawn Leader, Rosemary Tong, Sarah Chandler, Catherine Lane, David Benson and Steve Butler and parents; Duncan Chandler and Debbie Erasmus.

Following the lunch the children returned to school for an afternoon of 'Clowning Around' which was fabulous.

A great day was had by all!

  • Stars of Wimborne St Giles light up the stage!!

    Thu 10 Dec 2015 Miss H

This week our hall was transformed for our Christmas performance; 'Stable Manners'.  The children were absolutely fantastic and sang, danced and acted their socks off! Thank you so much to all of you for some lovely feedback about it all. We were all very proud. Well done children - you are all stars!!

  • Book Club

Tue 08 Dec 2015 Miss Coe / Mrs Mack
Thank you to everyone who attended Book Club this term. We learnt about our favourite authors, made book marks, adapted story endings, designed 3D books and created our own outdoor story settings. Take a look at our pictures, can you think of your own captions or stories for them?
  • Brand new Early Years Foundation Stage Department

Mon 07 Dec 2015 Miss Hattersley

We now have a brand new integrated Early Years Department and children can now attend our thriving school from 3 years old onwards.

This will support our commitment to give our children the best possible start in life and provide them with the highest quality education.

We are in the process of restructuring our website to include an Early Years section so that you can find out more, but in the meantime, please see the  Newsletter section which explains in detail the reasons behind this really positive move forwards.

We are very confident about the future for our youngest learners as we continue to implement our vision for excellence for all children.
