  • Elm Class Egg Update!

    Mon 30 Mar 2020

Here is an update on the Elm Class eggs. The eggs have gone to live with Tristan whilst school is closed. Here is a picture of one of the eggs now. As you can see, the egg is completely black apart from the air sack at one end, the black part is the chick. It has almost completely filled the egg! They are due to hatch anytime from today! Tristan and his mummy will keep us posted. We can't wait to see the little chicks, just in time for Easter! #WSG #togetherwegrow

  • An emotional end to the term.

    Fri 20 Mar 2020

Today was a day of real emotion. So very sad to be ending a school term like this, but full of gratitude for our little school family. Today we all came in dressed in bright colours with a donation for a food bank. We painted flowers in the style of Georgia O’Keefe and wrote letters to send to the elderly people in the village while we are not able to see them. We had Easter egg hunts and great fun enjoying the beautiful outdoors. We planted flowers, plants and vegetables which we are going to bring home to take care of and we ended the day as only WSG can: singing at the tops of our voices so that everyone outside the school could hear and have their spirits lifted. We are so incredibly proud of our amazing school community and so grateful that in the times ahead, we have each other. Today the school was full of light, love and laughter and we know it will continue to be. Take care all of you and see you soon. WSG xx #smallschoolbigheart #togetherwegrow

  • World Book Day 2020

    Thu 05 Mar 2020

We certainly celebrated World Book Day in style today. The children looked fantastic dressed up as their favourite book characters and enjoyed sharing stories together. #WSG #togetherwegrow
