Ash Trees

Welcome to Ash Trees!

The Teacher in Ash Class is Mrs Matthews who is closely supported by Mrs Haynes and Mrs Crighton, our teaching assistants.
Ash Trees consists of children of Reception  age, but we form part of a brand new Early Years department alongside Saplings -  our 3 year olds.  The ‘Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum’ is followed in this class. For further information about the 'Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum', please click the link below. The themes used are broad enough for the children’s own interests to be incorporated within them, thus make their learning more personal and relevant.

We have a vibrant classroom with a brand new purpose built outside area where the children have the opportunity to put into practise skills they have learned through their own child initiated learning.

We encourage parents and carers  to write comments about their child's achievements outside of school as well as comments about their social skills. This helps to inform the Early Years Profile.

We love to take our learning outside and we have wonderful school grounds, including a wildlife area that give us the freedom to be explorers and learn through investigation.
