Understanding the World

Science- sensory stroll. Today the children used their senses to observe the forest area

World faith- Diwali. Today, the children met an Avatar, who talked about the Diwali festival of light. We heard and acted out the story of Rama and Rita, dressed in traditional Indian clothing, had a go at learning some dance moves and were able to look at some Indian artefacts.

History- Poppy Day. Today, the children observed the 2 minute silence and placed their handmade poppies in to the spiritual garden ❤️

Science- continuing to use our observation skills, the children explored the different Autumnal leaves we found on our hunt last week.

Science- Autumn watch: the children went on an Autumn hunt to observe the sign of Autumn.

History- this week the children have been looking at their own baby photos and seeing the changes they have gone through over time. They attempted to put them in age order.

Science- working scientifically. The children have been using their observation skills to look at the garden leaves

Geography- we went on a walk around Wimborne St Giles to see some of the key features. We saw a church, forest, park, village hall and the school! Our rainbow challenge was to remember the different features and try to put the photos in order of what we saw.
