Today, we are going to play some games to help you practice your phonics.
You will need a cupcake tray, some cupcake cases and a bouncy ball (please made any substitutions as necessary - a dice would work just as well as a ball)
First, write words containing sounds that you have been practicing on the the bottom of the cupcake cases.
Next, place the cupcake cases in the tray.
After that, gently bounce the ball on the tray, it will, hopefully, land in one of the cupcake cases.
Finally, read the word written in the case.
Write some phonics graphemes on to small pieces of paper.
Spread them out on the floor or table.
Grab a kitchen utensil and splat each sound as you read it aloud.
How quickly can you splat all your sounds?
