'Together We Grow: Together We Give'

November 6th: Committed to Remembering

Today, we were remembering why peace is important and worship team led our time together by exploring the themes of Peace and Conflict.

We began by looking at these symbols of peace. We wondered  why there were so many symbols associated with peace. We wondered why the world needs so many reminders of peace and why these reminders might be especially important this week.

We thought about remembrance and people who have suffered and are still suffering because of war. We shared the story 'My Name is Not Refugee' by Kate Milner and thought about what it must be like to have to leave your home because of war.

We shared this reminder of peace:

We finished with this prayer:

and our sending words:

Worship team: Go in peace to love and serve the lord (and one another)

All: In the name of Christ, Amen.
