Solar Farm visit
Oak Tree Class were invited to visit the Solar farm in Verwood to follow in the footsteps of our Eco-warrior committee who visited last term. We were taken on a tour of the site, learnt how the panels worked and what power was generated by them. During a break in the clouds we managed to experiment with a host of hand-held solar gadgets which were great fun and showed us exactly how quickly they could react when in the rays of the sun. Later we explored the site at ground level to find and identify a range of plants and mini beasts. Our thanks to the education team for their help in organising the visit for us.
