Christmas Magic at WSG!
WOW - last week was absolutely amazing with brilliant Christmas performances and an incredible Christmas Fun Day!
On Wednesday and Thursday, there was definitely 'Something Amazing Going On' as our wonderful children took to the stage to share our Christmas performance. Thank you so much to all our families and friends who came along to cheer us on - and helped to make it all come together on the day. We are so ridiculously proud of our incredible cast and crew who lit up the stage with their BRILLIANT performances! There was so much joy and love in the room and it was such a magical day.
On Friday, we had THE most amazing Christmas Fun Day, (organised again by our incredible PTA)! We had a brilliant time making Christmas treats, Christmas crafts and meeting some weird and wonderful creatures in the Hall - followed by a delicious lunch in the Village Hall, a festive tractor and trailer ride and a visit to Father Christmas on the Shaftesbury Estate! HUGE thanks to all of our grown ups who came along to help on the day, to Clare Holmes for helping the children to create some brilliant decorations, to the Shaftesbury Estate for the loan of 'Santa's Grotto', to the Goodall Family for making it look so beautiful, to Father Christmas for taking time out of his busiest time of year to meet us all and answer our questions, to St Giles' Farm and the Meecham Family for the wonderful tractor and trailer and to Ellie's Daddy for chauffering (we definitely travelled in style!) The children decided last week that they would like to donate all of the proceeds from today to Child of Hope's Christmas Appeal so that other children get a chance to share in the magic of Christmas too. Thank you SO much again to our amazing PTA for creating such a special day for us all. It was a day brimming with awe and wonder and an experience we will never forget!
We are so lucky to be able to provide such wonderful festive experiences for our children and we are not quite finished yet!
Christmas Tree - we have a beautiful tree in our Hall generously provided by the PTA and decorated by the children. This is going free at the end of term - if you know of any family who would like to give it a good home - please get in touch via the school office!
Best wishes,
Mrs Hill
