Summer Concert
Our Summer concert, held on 2nd July was fantastic!
The hall was full of friends and relations, staff and Governors. There were lots of parents eating biscuits! The audience were entertained with an afternoon of Music including singing, instrumental pieces and tunes we wrote ourselves. The theme was 'Celebration' as we tried to include parts of our work from Music lessons to worship songs.
The whole school sang a round before the youngest children shared their songs with actions. This was followed by the guitar medley performed by a group of Year 3 children who have been working with the Dorset Music Service. After a quick change, the Elm Tree Class surfed onto the stage and entertained us with a Beach Boys song.
Next, our oldest class sang a silly song about recycling before transporting the audience to the Rainforest for an atmospheric performance of a piece they had composed themselves.
We sang two rousing songs to end, one from our Maths curriculum and one from our Worship collection.
The programme of events was co-ordinated by our Music subject leader, Mrs Mackonochie and Alfie designed the front cover.
A BIG 'Thank you' to everyone who took part and all the people who came to watch and listen.
