  • D.I.S.C.O!!

Fri 23 Oct 2015 Miss Hattersley

This evening the school was taken over by a formidable force of Superheroes and Princesses at our first disco of the term!

I think we all agreed that it was a resounding success - really well organised with lots of entertainment in between all the dancing!

Many thanks to all the PTA members who organised such a fabulous evening; I don't think it's every day that you can dance to 'Let it Go' from Frozen whilst under a snow machine!

The children clearly had a wonderful time and it was a great way to kick start the half term.

See below for photos - can you spot who's who underneath their disguises?

  • Harvest Festival

Fri 23 Oct 2015 Miss Hattersley

It was lovely to see so many of you at last week’s Harvest and Headteacher Commissioning service. I was really touched by the sense of family and community that was so obvious throughout the morning. I thought the children were very well behaved and I was very proud of them all, as I know you were too.

Many thanks to all of you for the food donations, Reverend Paskins for leading the service, John Radford for the brilliant organist accompaniment, Rosemary Tong and Mrs Mac for their Bible readings, Mark Stratta for representing the diocese and Caroline Barnes and her bell ringing team for starting the morning off with such a fantastic sense of occasion.

A big thank you also to Mrs Crighton who came in specially to serve teas and coffees after the service.

It was a really special day and I feel privileged to be a part of the school community here.

See below for photos from the morning!
