    Wed 23 Sep 2020

Just before we broke up for the Summer holidays, we were thrilled to receive a generous grant from Dorset Gardens Trust to fund a joint gardening project with our very good friends at In Jolly Good Company! A huge thank you to Rachael Thorne for all her hard work getting the project off the ground and bringing it to fruition, to Margaret from Dorset Gardens Trust, to Ben Eyres for building the raised beds in the school grounds, to Eco Sustainable Solutions and Alex Critchlow for the donation and delivery of the compost, to Sarah Rampton and In Jolly Good Company for planting and nurturing the seeds over the holidays, to Eileen Strummer from WSG for the leeks, rosemary and sage and to Jon Adlem for the strawberries! We are so grateful and can’t wait to get growing! Here we are, proudly holding our cheque! (Photos courtesy of Rachael Thorne!) #InJollyGoodCompany, #TogetherWeGrow

This afternoon, we explored the work of Jackson Pollock and the unique ‘drip’ painting technique that he developed. We then had a go at using similar techniques to create our own artwork. We had such a great afternoon learning in the sunshine and the finished pieces were amazing! #talentedartists #learningoutsidetheclassroom #togetherwegrow
